A popular, annual event in the SHADES calendar, our barbecue in St Helen’s Woods was enjoyed by over 36 people last year.

This year’s barbecue is on
Wednesday 27th June
in St Helen’s Woods from 6.30 – 9 p.m.

All are welcome, Members and non-Members. Bring your own food and drink to share with others (unless it’s best fillet steak and champagne!) and bring your friends and family.

21 Members and Thespian Friends enjoyed this exhilerating MASTERCLASS Drama Workshop run by professional actress Liz Crowther (daughter of Leslie Crowther).
Liz recently performed for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The theme of the workshop was

PHYSICAL THEATRE
with mask and mime work

Full of energy and vitality, Liz was very patient with us, with clear explanation and guidance when necessary. It was very impressive and touching the way she learnt and remembered everybody’s name. The afternoon was most stimulating, informative and a lot of fun.

Liz has already agreed to return to us to run another workshop in the future. Watch this space!
